Selecting a college can be a stressful experience. There are many excellent colleges nationwide and below you'll find a list of some that offer aviation-related programs.
So how do you know which one is the right one for you? It is not an easy decision, but keep a few things in mind as you start the process. First, if you know what you want to study, narrow the choices to those schools that offer what you want. Second, start early. Junior year in high school is not too early! Third, research your choice. Visit the college web site, seek the advice of alumni. Contact the admissions office and ask questions. Next, if possible, visit the college in person. Many schools have orientation programs for potential students and their parents. What better way to get the “feel” of a school than by seeing it in person? Finally, be open to change. Just because you want to be a pilot, doesn't mean you should lock yourself into one course of study. Explore all a school has to offer!
