EAA SCHOLARSHIPS HELP YOUNG PEOPLE PURSUE AVIATION DREAMS

EAA Aviation Center, Oshkosh, Wis. – September 13, 2005 – This summer’s aviation scholarships presented by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) are helping a number of young people reach their personal goals in aviation.

These scholarships, funded by gifts and endowments to EAA, encourage, recognize and support excellence in various aviation fields. They are awarded based on financial need to those applicants pursuing aviation careers who are also active in school and community activities.

Among the scholarship recipients in 2005 are:

EAA Achievement in Aviation Scholarships: Fawn Williams, Chesilhurst, N.J and Laura Bunde of Farmington, N.M.

Herbert L. Cox Memorial Scholarship: Beau Kelsey, Carey, Idaho.

Hansen Scholarship: Elizabeth DeYoung, Oshkosh, Wis.

Payzer Scholarship: Seth Thomas, Greendale, Wis.

David Alan Quick Scholarship: Jason Mintz, Madison, Wis.

H.P. “Bud” Milligan Aviation Scholarship: Colin Dorsey, St. Louis, Mo.

Tom Hudner Scholarship of Honor/LaViolette Award: Tyler Sibley, Cambridge, Minn.
